As evening settles across the Sanctuary, the Hearth begins to glow with familiar light. Lanterns are lit, books are set aside, and dragons gather in a circle where stories are offered freely. There is no order of speakers, no expectation to perform, and no requirement to share. Listening is honored as deeply as speaking, for both are gifts freely given.

The stories themselves are as varied as the dragons who tell them. Some speak of adventures and victories, while others recall mistakes, favorite books, unexpected friendships, or moments that changed the course of a life. Scale has never determined a story's worth. Within the Thunder, even the smallest tale may become the one another dragon needed to hear.

Over the years, many of the Sanctuary's traditions have begun around the Hearth during Story Night. A passing joke becomes a familiar saying. A shared memory grows into a yearly tradition. An ordinary conversation becomes part of the living history of the Thunder. In this way, Story Night is more than an evening of storytelling. It is one of the ways the Sanctuary continues to remember.

When the final story has been shared, a single lantern is lit beside the Hearth. Known as the Listening Lantern, it burns until sunrise as a quiet promise that every story offered has been heard, and that every story still waiting to be told will always find a place within the Sanctuary.
