Kolya

Kolya serves as the Keeper of Loyalty.

There are dragons who seek wisdom. There are dragons who seek courage. There are dragons who seek adventure.

When dragons seek comfort, they seek Kolya.

Among the Thunder, Kolya is known for many things: his loyalty, his kindness, his enthusiasm, and his complete inability to understand personal space. The last quality is discussed frequently. The behavior continues unchanged.

Kolya loves the Thunder wholeheartedly. Not quietly. Not from a distance. Fully. Wherever dragons gather, Kolya is never far away. His steady presence has become so familiar that many dragons only notice it when they need it most.

He possesses a remarkable gift. Dragons tell him their worries, dreams, victories, heartbreaks, and hopes. Perhaps it's because he listens without judgment. Perhaps it's because he offers comfort without conditions. Whatever the reason, every dragon instinctively knows they are safe with him.

Though gentle by nature, Kolya is fiercely protective. Especially of little dragons. Especially of dragons carrying visible hurts. And especially of those carrying invisible ones. Threatening someone Kolya loves is a remarkably effective way to discover just how much courage can fit inside a very good dog.

Celebrating others comes as naturally to Kolya as breathing. Finished books, birthdays, personal milestones, and dreams fulfilled—all are worthy of excitement. To Kolya, no victory is ever too small when it belongs to someone he cares about.

Many dragons have experienced what the Thunder affectionately calls a Kolya Moment: a difficult day interrupted by warm fur, steady breathing, and the comforting weight of a loyal friend leaning close. No words are needed. His presence says everything.

When Ruin was once asked what role Kolya served within the Sanctuary, he answered simply:

"He reminds dragons they do not have to carry everything alone."

Above Kolya's favorite place beside the Hearth hangs a small wooden plaque, worn smooth by years of passing paws.

Its message has become one of the Thunder's simplest truths:
